MODE-B problem

i sucessfully flashed SAMSUNG MS28 using my pc n all the tutorials. Today I tried flashing a HITACHI 0078FK for my friend but the damn thing doesnt enter into MODE-B.

I am using the SLAX 2 thing to get it into MODE-B but have been unsucessful continously for 5 hours. I cant understand where am i going wrong.

I have a VIA 8237R. Using SLAX 2. everything connected properly but dunno why i cant get the MODE-B thing. As the video tutorial says that i will get an error "SPINNING DISC" something like that but i never get any such error. The SLAX thing loads up without any error and also without doing anything i.e. changing the drive to mode-b.

Please guyz i need ur help.

P.S. i dont wanna do the TWO WIRE thing coz im a bit affraid of it

thanks alot dude... but i think u have not read my post carefully... i have already modded SAMSUNGS so that means i have all the possible tutorials and videos... my main concern here is that HITACHI is not going into mode b even after doing everything exactly the way it is said in the tutorial

if im not wrong there are more than one disc you can try to get a 78 in modeb.try the other one.

dude today i used 2.1 slax but didnt get any luck but later i again tried using 2.0alpha slax again ... and i was able to get the HITACHI to mode b but after around 2 hours... however later on i was not able to get tht damn thing detected in windows... dunno y... so plzzz help me on tht too

Again i wasted around 3 hours to get all the possible drivers coz thr was a yellow exclamation mark in device manager next to VIA SATA... later i switched off my xbox360 n was not able to get HITACHI back to mode b again....

When the HITACHI drive is not connected to my pc theres no driver problem. help plzzz

man im at a loss it will get in modeb then it wont.i dont know at this point.just keep working at it.

DAMN!!!!! i jus scared to switch off n on my 360 again n again soooooooo may times... anyways will try again later... n surely let u know... cheers
