Hey. I'm trying to flash my hitachi 59 but I'm having trouble getting the drive into mode b.

I'm using slax method on an nforce chipset (which I am told works) and RAID disabled.
This is my motherboard
"chipset: NVIDIA nForce 550"
It also states
"SATA 1~4 compatible with RAID 0/ 1/ 0+1 or Mode JBOD via N-Force550" if any of that is important.

I'm over my head trying to work out why it won't work. Any tips appreciated.
Thanks.

Is slax getting to the logon screen?
Is it getting stuck at spinning up disk? if so at that point open the dvd tray it will continue.

Are you using the lates version of Slax?

I couldn't get mine to work with my nForce, slax 2.1 just goes to a blank screen, I used Slax Live and it worked fine.

Thanks for the replies :)

I believe I was using 2.0, but I will need to check. I got all the way to login screen but my drive shows no signs of modeb.
Someone suggested the alpha 1 disc so I'm going to try that. Also, I can't seem to find 'slax live' anywhere? I would have thought it be readily available.

Thanks again, will report back if I get it working or not.
