I've been playing on xbox Live for about three months with a modded box, i dont use the mods to play on live, i just happen to have a modded box. I turn off my chip when i play on live, however two days ago when i try to connect it gives me an error saying xbox live does not support modified hardware software. HAVE I BEEN BOOTED? or is this something i can fix by moving some files around. ALSO...i am using xbox media center for my dashboard, but i have evox...I also have moved all modded criteria into the E and F drives so as to keep xbox live from finding them. Any suggestions?

well i dont run into this problem because i have 2 boxs... but i think you have been booted and by the way it sounds atm with getting back on is to get:
A) a new EEPROM and (B) A new HDD. and (C - possibly - not proven YET) a new DVD drive. its the marriage theory.

A) a new EEPROM and (B) A new HDD.
B) will ban you yet again. You have to get a new Motherboard AND HDD if you wanna do it the expensive way. But A) is the PROVEN one out of all of those that will keep you ban free. Go on eBay and find yourself a trusted seller who will sell you a brand spankin new EEprom.

Chill man, lol. I ain't attacking you, you actually did say not proven, but method B) will waste his money and get him no where as well. Infact it would be worse, that HDD would be banned too, therefore he just wasted what ever he just spent on that HDD. I'm only in this thread to save someone money and a life.

I am under the impression that you can put a new Hdd if you put in a new eeprom. I mean without a new Motherboard...
