id have to back that up, be careful what you say and accuse people of. MWN has put a lot of work into the jtag scene and helped with his smc files and im sure coolshrimp would totally agree.

Where do I get jtag tools v2.20 and/or v2.72 (which I think will work for a zephyr mobo) from? I can only find v2.85 and some others on torrent sites. I have read everywhere that the zephyr mobo will not work on dash 12685. If you know how please help. I did have dash 12611 working once but tried to update it to 12685, without doing my research. When dash 12611 was working forgot to save the nand. Now I can't get 12611 to load again and I don't remember what jtag tools version I was using or what method I used. I am able to flash back to dash 9199 and I do have dash 7371(original nand) saved. I do have the dvd and cpu keys saved also. I have to flash with an lpt connection which is taking about 2 hours each time(I have to use lpt becouse xbox does not boot e79 error) I have been working on trying to get this dash working for about 2 weeks with no luck.

I've read that dash 12625 will not work on a xephyr mobo. Do you know a way to make it work? What extra features do you get with the new dash and is it worth the trouble trying to install it. It's taking me about 2 hours on the average to flash my Xbox360 with an lpt connection, Is there a quicker way to do it when I receive an E79 error message? I use flash360 from the xex menu whenever I can. Now that I have dash 12611 do suggest anything else I should Install?

^ There are no major changes in 12625 over 12611. I'd say that if 12611 is working fine on your console, then no need to do anything else. You have a perfect Jtagged console and should be happy with it.

Now, as to what you should do now with it....Let's see:

1. Get DashLaunch 2.11 and install it on your Jtag.
2. Get FSD2.
3. Explore the Homebrew world of Xbox360....Yourself, that it

Also, since your Xbox360 is in a working condition now, I recommend you to make a backup of the NAND in its current condition using Flash360.

Thanks for the tip installed fsd2 and xm360 from the nxe. I have another problem, the xbox keeps wanting to boot into xellous, even when I power up with power button on the xbox or the wireless remote. It takes a few tries before I can get the kenetic dash to load. Can you help

^ Yeah...Unfortunately that's a problem with Zephyrs with Alternate SMC/Jtag points.

There are 2 things that can be done in this case:

1. Make a freeBOOT image with NO DVD-Drive option.
2. Keep your cool and do what you're now...

I have another question. Is it possible to to flash the dvd drive using the jtag (xex menu and a program like flash360 but for for the dvd drive)?

No, you will need to physicilly connect the dvd drive to your PC either via a compaible SATA set or USB360 Pro.

Used the no dvd option. Boots into the nxe every single time, but I've noticed that when I power up with the dvd eject button xellous does not load. When I re flashed I did not flash xell or xellous first. Do I really need xell or xellous since I have the dvd and CPU keys. If so do I just need to re flash xell and xellous first and then the no dvd option flash of the dash? do you recommend doing the efuse protection? I would like to put a switch on the two points that is recommended you bridge (so that it can be upgrade in the future). I also can't find any pictures of the pints on the zephyr mobo. Any suggestions?

^ XeLL is still there. It just won't boot because of the No DVD SMC. Since you already have your CPU Key, you don't need XeLL, so just leave it as it is.

As for the efuse protection, YES, it is recommended to do that. I even say that the efuse protection should the first step in Jtagging an Xbox360. Which way you do it, its your choice. I personally prefer to just remove the R6T3 instead of bridging U6T1 or U6T2.

Is bridging just as effective (I would like to put a switch on it)? Are there any issues with a zephyr board? Do you have Pic's of where the points are on a zephyr mobo?

^ On a Zephyr motherboard, I would recommend that instead of bridging method, you remove the R6T3 resistor itself.

I have been getting E79 on a falcon constantly.

1. Tried reg wiring
2. Tried Aud_dvd tray
3. Tried regular Aud_clamp w/ transistors

Nothing seems to work for me. I am starting to think that my points are messed up.
