GENERAL Momentary Toggle/Power Button

As I have a slim with no faceplate, I'm looking to work together a homemade power button. I have a few momentary toggles leftover from some other projects, and was wondering if it would be as simple as connecting the two legs of the momentary toggle to the two points shown in this pic? Anyone done this before?

From top to bottom, the pins on the ribbon socket can do this too:

Power on/off - pins 2 and 3 bridged.

Eject - pins 3 and 4 bridged.
