DICE has been rolling on with more information on the upcoming Battlefield 4, with the full map list revealed earlier this week and now some more details on the returning Commander mode. As detailed in the latest entry on the Battlefield Blog, Commanders will be able to see players on the opposing team that have racked up six kills or more without dying. At that point, they can be flagged by the Commander as a High Value Target and will be lit up on the map to all squads and a bounty placed on their head, encouraging players to take out dangerous opponents. The HVT meanwhile will gain extra points for any kills they make while they're flagged up, providing they can survive the assault. Also mentioned is how players will have to have reached Rank 10 before they're allowed to become Commander, including those wanting to direct the battle from their tablet - so you won't get people who don't even own the main game jumping in and causing grief for everyone else. If your Commander isn't doing a good enough job, you'll also have the option to start a mutiny via vote if you're a Squad Leader. However, to ensure the system isn't abused they won't be kicked right away, rather they'll be given a grace period to improve and the squad leaders who voted will be able to change their mind if the Commander pulls up their boots.
Don't forget, the Battlefield 4 beta starts later this week. Will you be stepping into the role of Commander when Battlefield 4 launches later this year? Let us know in the comments.
