Hi,

Flashed the 5035 bios, worked ok.

Tried to flash the evo x 3.6 bios so i could copy a game however it failed.
so (for what reason i am not sure) i did as they said and modified the bios to 1mb. this time flash copied fine.

However now it only boots to ms standard bios.
I assume that means i have stuffed the flash.

So i need a programmer to reflash the chip?

What would you recommend as a dashboard for ripping games? for a 1.1 xbox with 2.6ce ?

the x2 takes 512k bios and x2 5035 is all you needed yes you will have to buy a programmer or do a hotswap if you know someone with a x2 chip with flashbios still on it
you need to install a dash to be able to ftp to your xbox to backup a game allso to run apps like dvd2xbox to backup games to xbox hard drive

Use DVD2XBOX to rip games. You can even use it to rip games straight to your PC for burning.

Why did you think you needed to flash EVOX to rip games?
And if your getting to the MS dash with the bios you have now then you probably just need to install a dash.
make a bootdisc and see if it works.
