I have a problem with my xbox which someone tried to chip. Apparently there is a damaged piece on the motherboard.
A picture of the area is here http://home.comcast.net/~x3guide/Images/x3_wire_v16.jpg.
The resistor/other at no8 pink is what has been damaged.
Would this part be replaceable or would a new motherboard be required.

If someone knows this part it would be useful as it may help me source a replacement.

Starting My JTag.

Ok, So I'm going to buy a old Xbox 360 off the net tomorrow.
However i have seen countless how-to JTag tutorials, so I'm wondering which one is the best.

Also once i JTag my Xbox will i need the wires i solder that's connect to my PC, Will those need to be connected for me to run things? or will it be a once only thing?

I'm thinking about using this tutorial
http://www.tiaowiki.com/w/How_to_JTAG_XBOX_360_Using_TIAO_USB_SPI_Interface

And using this usb interface since i don't have a printer port.
http://www.easymg.com/game-console-adapters/usb-spi-jtag-utility-bundle.html

Am i on the right track? Because seriously i dont want to f**k this up.

Re: Starting My JTag.

I have jtagged 3 xbox 360's with the NAND-X, it is so easy. I really recommend it. Look at this tutorial, it really is to the point and very clear: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55024
