Is it a good idea to mount fans on top of the processors... facing down so it blows air down?
I will post a pic if needed :D
thanks!

My Xbox 360 has never had a problem with over heating.

But for you to fit fans to the heatsinks i'm assuming you have?
So your the one who should know if it's a good idea or not as you have fitted them and blowing.

If you were having a lot of problems over heating and this has fixed your problem then great post your findings and pictures.

the deal is... I have alot of friends who have had Several 360s and they all melted
I have yet to even turn this one on (its brand new) but I'm wanting it to stay as cool as possible (if for anything..longer processor life).
(This is my 2nd to open)
I plan on leaving the case open 24/7
This is just experimental I guess (for fear of lava)
360 = dual volcano cores (so I've heard)
Thanks for your input (and not flaming ;) )

btw, you are dead sexy! do you have man boobs? ;)

I assume you mean in addition to the fans that currently draw air out of the system or remounting the existing fans?

If you mean in addition to the current setup, i would have them drawing air out, the same as the ones are now. That way both fans are blowing in the same direction, increasing the amount of air being drawn over the heat sinks and thus cooling more.

I wouldnt really recommend blowing air in, unless you are going to cut the plastic fan duct to allow air to exit out the bottom easier. The way it is designed right now it so draw from the bottom of these ducts, through the heat sinks out the fan. If you reverse this, the flow will be effected and probably wont cool as well.

My two cents...
