ms 28 flashing with mp3 player

i was just wondering if it was possible to flash the drive using this method, well anyway just tried it and got this error message, would it just be best to go and buy a usb drive pen. am flashing my m8s drive with xtreme53 as he's not bothered about going online.

could it be becuz i was using an mp3 and not a usb stick, well i tried this on both of my pc and still got the same error as above, went thru dos and altered the first boot for loading and still the same. i have a via 6421 but i know its not becuz of this becuz i hant gone thru the first stage by getting it to load in2 does.

am just going to use the NTFS4DOS cd method as i just went out and lent my m8s usb stick and got same error, am reading thru the text book and seems easy, just like it would be using a usb stick apart from i got to input commands to get to the directory, any warnings b4 i start? also is it becuz i got an aLiveNF4G-dvi motherboard that its not loading the usb stick. also same thing on my asrock k7vm2 motherboard.
