ok i f**ked the tracks on my motherboard so i cant turn off my mod chip would it be ok to put the msbios on my x3 and still be to use live if i boot the msbios from the x3??

Hmmm... interesting idea! It should work, I think! I mean, M$ wouldn't be able to tell whether the bios is being booted from the HDD or the chip. That's a good idea...

I wonder if that's how X3 enables/disables it self. If its not thats a really different idea...... Can someone try this out?

i tried to stick the original ms bios i downloaded from "the usual place" onto a bank of my x3 and it fragged when i tried to boot it. maybe because my hdd is unlocked? this is a real interesting idea, surprised nobody thought of it before.

Could you potentially use a different dashboard while using the stock MS dashboard? Or would MS see that you were not using the stock dashboard? Perhaps if you named Evox.xbe to msdash.xbe or whatever the name is? Oh well, probably too risky anyway.
