when i first installed my chip i had the stock drive in and the ms dash booted up fine. then i upgraded the hard drive and flashed the chip with the latest bios and now i cant boot to the ms dash when i turn off the chip..for live...

i tried suggestions such as locking my hard drive but no luck.. any help would be appreciated!?! thanks!

Well, the obvious question is, since you make no mention of it, did you copy all of the original MS Dash files from the old C and E onto the new hard drive?

You sure you have the full MSdash... every file from it, and the FTP didnt freez/stop/time out when transfering it? It should boot up from the HD...

If you can, go back onto the stock HD and test it out there.... if it works, re-transfer all the files, And it should be fine... It shouldn't stop working, just because it's another Hard drive.

I have the same problem, only I didn't upgrade the hard drive. It's got the original HD, and I installed the avalaunch dash to drive c:.

EDIT: I used one of the autoinstall disks, I think it was slayers. Would this have just overwritten the original ms dashboard? And my HD is locked. when I try to boot up to the dash with the chip off, it says "error: please contact service" in a bunch of languages.
