MS Dash Issues

Chip works great, but when I try to boot with the chip disabled, I get the old "Service required call customer service", with 05 in the top left corner of the screen. Could it be my hdd files?

If the chip boots fine, but M$ dash won't work, you probable damaged the d0 trace from the left of the d0 point. But besides, who wants the old M$ dash anyways....Unless you have live.

you just need to lock to drive you can do that with x3 config live or configmagic.

Wicked, I just locked the drive from X3 config live, and the dash works fine. NOW i can play live! Thanks a lot guys. Just one more question, with the drive locked, are any X3 features limited?

no it shouldnt change anything configlive but you might want to save a copy of the lock data to another computer, in case somthing ever happens and you need to unlock the drive and cant use that motherboard.

By lock data, do you mean the hard drive lock key in X3 config live, or is there a file on the drive I should backup? I backed up the x3data.txt file, which includes the lock data, is that sufficient?

lit on 7 series vendar mode

Hi hope some one can help am unable to get my lit on drive into venda mode using jungle flsher i have a connectivaty kit and probe pc picks up my drive and shows up drver properties will only go into sataus 0x52

the only way to put a lite-on in vendor mode is to Lite-On erase

yer sorted thanks read tutorial wrong was trying to put drive into vendor mode to extract key did not no you could do it without thanks for you help all flashed and working thanks for you help
