ms dash problem

I am having problems getting into my ms dash. When i do a long button press to go into the ms dash i get the following. The flubber,ms logo and then nothing but black screen with wavy lines and my xbox flashes red & green. My ms dash file is on the c drive in the hd. Has anyone else had the problem and if so how can the problem be fixed.

I have a X3 with 1959 bios. I get a error 21 service required.

The disk is locked? Are you checked your solders?

The hard drive is locked and my solder points are all good. Could it be doing this because its not the proper hd that came with the xbox. Its a 60 gig i put in.

i hope you used Config magic to lock your drive because evox wont tell you if its lockable or not. also did you backup yourentire c/e drive from the stock drive and then upload them back after formatting?

I did not back up my files. I just took out the proper xbox hd and put it up in my drawer. Then i put this 60 gig in and used slayers to install evox and apps.

(DO I HAVE TO COPY SOME OF MY FILES FROM THE PROPER HD)

hi, i was wondering if some one would be able to tell me what 0xD1 status is.??

I did the mra hack everything seems fine ..... boot up drive in on pos. start jf reads as status x52 then when i go to intro device and turn off pos. i get that 0xD1 status ...???

Not sure what im doing wrong ... this is my first 9345 drive .... never did the mra hack ... am i doing somthing worng?

yet to mod the 9 series but

have you tried intro the device more than once ?? if you get 0xd1 power off leave for 2 secs power on see if the status changes ??

worth a try you cant harm anything

True that .... same ... get intro device failed .... 0xD1 no status change ... it changes from x52 to 0xD1 right when i turn switch to off pos.?



now the resistor that i use is 22 right so color is red red black gold?

like i said Os ive not yet seen a 9 series to mod it, if flashed 7 and 8's but as yet no soldering to be done

it was just an idea if you haven't done it, i also guess your running Jf1.7 ?

on the intro remember to try it more than a few times and leave the power on a little longer every time

ive had BENQ new drives that needed 6-7 power on/off's before they gave me the right flash properties

got it to work in dos flash32 .... read like a charm! thanx for all the help!!
