Ms Dash Wont load Off with chip off

I wanted to know if i could fix this somehow cause i got some games i wanted to play on live i have a xecuter 2.6 ce i just put a new hard drive in there and i think i just dont have the right xboxdash is there anyway to get it back ????

You could download slayers. That will do it for you. You could also put your old drive back in, boot with a boot disc, FTP the contents of your C: drive to your computer, put the new drive back in and copy the stuff from your old C: drive to your new one. You could also use this process to backup your gamesaves.

You should get an error number on screen when this occurs. What is the error? It will help to pinpoint the problem. If your xboxdash.xbe file has been replaced with a mod dash (common in older installs) then the error code will indicate a problem with the dashboard. Fantmx's directions will fix this but would also remove your mod dash if it is in fact xboxdash.xbe on C. If the problem is something as simple as that your new hard drive isn't locked to your Xbox the error number will indicate this as well.

I am not completely clear on what you are saying, so I will say this.

If you use Slayers to install the Microsoft Dashboard, you will be able to play on live with the chip off.
