From examiner.com:

Do you like to use the party chat option on your Xbox 360? Well, if you do, you may soon find yourself being forced out of using that option. Microsoft appears to be offering developers the option to negate the private chat option the Xbox 360 offers.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will force players to decide whether or not they'll play the game and join the game chat, or choose to stay in a private chat and not play in the multiplayer game. The private chat feature became a way of telling other players of enemy locations after being killed.

WTF thats ridiculous! who cares about people letting others know there location? It was the way of the game.

Also what about if your in a party and your not all playing the same game? so if you wanna play MW 2 on your own on line you gotta be a loaner in public chat! Urgh M$ are such F*gs!

excellent idea for mw2 in real life you would'nt get a chance to let your troops know the score

for shoot em ups its a great idea make the game a little more fun than being picked off by snipers sitting on a roof knowing your in that area ;)

Poor idea, who wants to sit and listen to the rubbish and complete filth that comes out of alot of peoples mouths in public partys, party chat is one of the best things ms have added to xbox live now they plan to take it away? What are they thinking?

this is retarded I like talking to my friends while playing not to warn them of someone around the corner but just to shoot the sh*t. Now we will have to let people in on our conversations and hear douche bags sing songs over an open mic or tell everyone they a losing the game because of everyone else.
