Using the latest firmware and xtreme, my xRead gets stuck at 1%. Does the read take a long time? It's been 20 mins and the xbox is flashing still. Any ideas? I've tried several times and I can't get around it. Thanks in Advance.

I followed the textbook.

I have the SATA VT6421 and it does recognize the drive. After selecting the xtreme drive. It says it is reading and it's always at 1%. When I restart and look in my backup dir, the bin is only 1kb. I've tried multiple times, update drivers, etc ... This is driving me nuts.

Drivers shouldn't be an issue, since you are reading/writing from dos.

Has this drive been flashed before? If so, are you using the bad flash method?

I set up a new computer and now after the 1%, I get an error saying invalid Opcode and lists out some hexcode I think. Then the app says the original bin doesn't match and aborts. Do I have to do a bad flash now?

Just tried the bad flash method where I count to 10 secs and turn on the xbox. Same error with the invalid Opcode.

Am I doing something wrong?

I downloaded the firmware from xbins 5.3 from the Samsung-Toshiba.
Downloaded the latest xtreme boot maker from x-projects.

I'm using the one and only SATA VT6421 from the newegg.

Did I miss something? This seems so easy but I'm stuck at xRead and it's frustrating. Should I flash it and risk bricking the system?

If you were smart you wouldnt. That key is vital, and from your thread topic it says M25 but if your using hte bad flash method then that means you have an M28 drive.

Sounds to me like you havent done enough research yet, you may want to read over Textbooks guide one more time and follow the steps to the letter.

It's ms25. I did the bad flash method because I was running out of options. I've done a lot of research.

Anyways, I figured it out. I did the flash drive vs the CD. Flash drive worked flawlessly.

I'm having the same problem. I'm also using the CD.

I tried to do ti with my flash drive, but my mobo doesn't have the option to boot up from a flash.

So I try and flash my BIOs to see if an updated version has it?
