My brother has a long since banned from live phat 360 that had a MS25 but the drive died a while ago. At the time i had a spare hitachi so my friend spoofed it as a MS25 but now my bro wants lt+2.0 installed but i told him to do that he needs a MS25 or 28 so got him MS28. So i gathered i'd need to flash it to stock and update to latest dash as he only had dash 2.0.12625.0. With this being my first sammy to flash i set the MS28 to stock Pre 13141. In the firmware 32 tab it said MS28 spoofed as MS25, well i continued and wrote it to the drive. I put the drive back into the 360 and turned on, i popped in my usb stick with latest dash and it said update found i clicked to update and the bar went up and the 360 restarted but then came up with a error.
I then decieded to reflash the drive with MS25 stock and started the dash update and the 360 yet restarted but this time no error but the update seemed over too quick so looked in system settings and the dash was still on 2.0.12625.0 and would no longer pick the update up off the usb stick. So i just flashed then to lt 2.0 and tried a couple of backups including gow3 and they played without a hitch. But i don't understand why the dash reports in system settings as 2.0.12625.0.
The dash update was 13599 fom the microsoft website today.
