Hello everyone,
i started flashing my MS28 drive yesterday, i followed the guide , i got VIA 6421A,
so this is what happens
- i made the USB Flash drive bootable
- i disconnect the SATA from MS28
- turn both PC and Xbox on
- when in DOS , connect the SATA
- do the Xread 123456 12345 (with my serial) , I have a question here, if i supplied my serial during making the USB flash car, do i still need to supply it here?
- it detect my SATA car, XTREME Pri Master
- turn off xbox
- chose 1
- wait 10 sec, 2, sec, 14 sec, u name it , before turning it back on
- Nothing happens, so i press ESC , and i get an error saying Status 51 should be 70.
i tried this for a good 3 hours, any help is greatly appreciated
PS - My sata card has only ONE sata port.

Thank you

No, if you put it into XBM you can simply run xRead.

You may want to try leaving the 360 powered off until you reach DOS and then turning it on, that seems to work for some people when the normal method in the tutorial fails.

thank you for the reply, i just realized something, most people say it should say ec00 as their port, mine says dc00 , is that a problem?
thanks

sorry, one more thing, i was reading , they said you need to check the box in xtreme boot maker for MS28 bad flash, but the new boot maker doesn't have that option, all i do is, click on apply bokes patch and use custom controller, chose the VIA from list and it inputs the ID / IO by itself, that's it right?
thanks

thanks for the replies guys, i decided to hold off on modding, since they seem to be banning people on LIVE.
