I'm trying to put an extra Hd in my xbox, but it's a laptop. The switch I created works, Ive tested it...the IDE I've made works, I can use either drive on either power circuit or on either IDE female plug...It works fine until I attach the second drive...
Then my original still works, (when both drives are jumpered to cableselect) (I don't know too much here...) but I can't get my laptop Hd to be recognized... it boots, but the "Microsoft" words for the BIOS never shows under the MS Logo...then after a few seconds it flashes red and green. Error code 8.
I'd like to use my switch to change from an xbox game (120G) usable console, to a linux only HD(laptop 20G)...Is it possible?
Might the power connector to my laptop
C adapter (only red and black wires, no yellow) have anything to doo with it...except that it works when it's the only hd on the ribbon...stumped.
