i need a display piece to keep my customers entertained while i do repairs in my shop.So i figured i would make a table that showed off my skills and looked good in the shop plus i wanted the customers to be able to play games or surf the web.the plan is to throw in a jtag 360 with a 2 tb hdd.a full media center PC and a ps3 slim modded with 3.55.and i will be using the kinnect to make the table touch screen with a hack i found online.im using a 32 inch led lcd tv that i won in a local mod contest .here are a few pics so far.

i plan on making the mounts for the tv and adding the legs today.will have more pics soon.

Interesteing idea, i will keep an eye on this. Build quality so far looks Robust and sturdy at least.

May i suggest making sure that you put some holes and ventilation in that box, Its going to get Extra hot in there with all that stuff crammed in.

If i was you, I would keep it a little more simple to start. Keep the Xbox and PS3 but ditch the Media Centre. You can play videos and such through the PS3 and Xbox, so no need to have the media pc unless you are wanting Live TV? If so then just put Cable or Antenna Feed to the TV and provide the channel buttons on the side of the table.

I believe he mentioned that he wants to let people surf the web too so the pc is most likely being used for that. The PS3's web browser is no good so this would make sense. I would do a nice watercooling job with LED's to make it really look pimp status! Add in a few plexiglass panels! Just some thoughts man, but this is a great idea none the less! Good thinking!

thanks for the tips bro ...i drew this up a while ago just never had a chance to do it since i did not need the tv and it was a prize i figured id make something different.i have the fans and ventilation all worked out nice im using 6 120mm fans inside and mounted to bottom of the table.i need the media center pc to do the kennect touch screen hack plus the game systems wont play all the types of media i have on my nas server all systems have been stripped down and modded then mounted to a custom board tray that will be placed in the table.all buttons will be mounted to the bottom.all functions of the table will be ran by a first gen ipad i'm not using anymore using different apps.the only buttons will be the power and volume witch will be mounted to the bottom front of table everything else will work over bluetooth.the table itself is very steerdy and renforced.

All sounds Promising still. :)
Seems an awful lot of expensive hardware for one table, but at least it will show your skills off to clients. Good Luck.

Looking really nice now. Make sure you round all the edges off with a sander, and also pop a good few coats of stain or laque to protect the wood from the customers. :)

Hmm Think moulding would make it look to much like one of those old air hocky tables. I would suggest just rounding them off with a belt sander to make it a little less sharp form. Looks good as just the wood, so really wouldnt want to spoil its look.
