LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM Multiple issues with Slim Drive..

HI,

I have the following problems(Sit tight cause this might be a long story lol)

SO i Brought myself an X360USB Pro V2 and was planning to resell my old CK3i and X360USB Pro v1.

SO this problem is about 1 xbox 360 slim (although there are 3 slims involved)

im going to name them Xbox A, B and C. A is from the client i got today, B is mine but the Drive PCB is dead(kamikaze fail) and C is from my cousin (fully working)

Xbox A arrived today at my store, it was a simple flash as i have all the tools necesary, just as i connected the "ck3" section of the x360usb pro v2 to the drive, puff sparks came out (I DID NOT CONNECT THE CABLE UPSIDE DOWN I ALWAYS TRIPLE CHECK THOSE CABLES) so as u might guess the drive's pcb is now dead and i didnt even get the key, i had to options either give him my xbox "B" board (which i have the key) or RGH the console, get the drive key via xell etc.. but i dont have RGH equipment yet, so i spoke to the client explained the situation and he accepted the change, o i aske my cousing to lend me his drive PCB while i get a new one (money's not the problem, but i live in Honduras, central america and minimum wait time for shiping is about a month) he agreed as i gave him my phat jasper for the time being.

Now i am trying to get the xbox C drive PCB on my xbox B drive, i installed it and tried to put MY key on his pcb but to no avail, the drive seems to "change" the key everytime i flash it so i get the not so flashy "play DVD" message on the xbox.

the only difference between the drives is that the XBOX C is 0401 and mine is 0225, but i read somewhere it is posible to change the FW revision once the drive is unlocked.

hope you could understand my situation as english is not my native language hehe...

1. You plugged in the drive upside-down, or crooked.
2. this is an easy fix. 0 ohm resistor and 100uF,6v Capacitor.
3. Why would you consider putting someone else's pcb with their key in someone else's xbox.
4. you can't manual spoof slims.

2. is there a guide for that fix?
3. Client wants fast resolution, and he doesn't play online so he doesn't care about live safe or anything. just that he gets his xbox working.
4. I'm not trying to spoof it, instead i'm trying to make the 0401 into a 0225. or i can't change that?

1. yes, as in a set of pins off or something similar
2. you could try a bit of common sense, but carlitosb has a tutorial on it posted somewhere
4. yes, you can do that just fine. any 16d4s pcb will work with any 1664s fw

I had all the cables plugged in correctly BEFORE putting power on my X360USB PRO V2 (which BTW the ck3 section doesn't work anymore, stays "on")

and about the changing the FW rev. from 0401 to 0225 i did that and even tried all the way around (From 0225 to 0401)

with 0401 to 0225 i got Reading disc for a second then "open tray"
with 0225 to 0401 JF changes my key, and i just get "play dvd"

(the board uses 0225 as STOCK drive) so that's what i don't understand, i know the key is the right one cause i keep the keys for everyone well organized in folders for each)

this is further evidence you plugged in something wrong

you may have even damaged the ck3i

load up the dummy.bin or lite-ofw from the original drive from inside the xbox you are trying to use, load JF autoload fw, then write

THAT DID IT! Don't know why it didn't work previously, but thanks anyways..

BTW i know the ck3i is most likely dead but is it posible to fix it?

Most likely plugged the Molex backwards. Doing this will blow the PL2303 chip.

The PL2303 is most likely damaged. Look at 110449420931 on Ebay.

Edit: great just as i had everything set up and working slim now shows red light on the power button, 0100 error
