On MKM-001-00 I used 4x and OPC ON and Over Speed Burn ON and fixed the majority of my bad kprobe problems now I am just messing with FHT, OHT and smartburn to see if I can dial them in to proper levels.Cog

I can't for the life of me get the mkm003 in the parameters. Turning off my antivirus helped I only did online hyper tuning and that helped. I went through 50+ discs then went and got some mkm001 discs made all the difference on my end.
Anyone recommend anywhere for MKM 001 disc's in the UK, they seem a little sparse.

How can you FORCE ImgBurn to burn at 4x if the disc only supports 2.4x? Do I just select the speed in ImgBurn to burn at 4x, or is it in EEPROM? Also, did you manually set the layerbreak to 2133520?

Thanks, can't wait to try this method!!

Because of the Overspeed [email protected]
You set 4x in ImbBurn to burn your XGD3 copy.
Layerbreak is in the .dvd file, there's no reason to set it manually.

Well I created the .dvd myself. For example:

Battlefield Backup D1.iso

LayerBreak=2133520
Battlefield Backup D1.iso

Is that correct? Should I uncheck manual layer break if this is the right .dvd? Also, Burn-proof enabled??

thanks

worked perfectly for me, i was having problems with a fresh win install on a 4gb athlon 64 dual core cpu at the end of layer 2, with these settings at 4x i got this beautiful result

seems i chanted VICTORY too soon!

EDIT: nevermind the discs were good, it was my xbox laser unit that was getting stuck (was not going all the way back so it wasnt able to read that extra info at the edge of the disc) and that was because i put a bumper at the back to "fix" an stuck tray problem

I have burned many games and all we're pretty much on point. I gave this method a try and saw no real difference. I tried a diagnostic startup through msconfig and it didn't do much to improve it either.

So, I did something someone else did - safe mode. Best burn so far.

---------------------------------
GoW 3
OPC - ON
Burn - 4x
Force Hyper Tuning - ON
Online Hyper Tuning - ON
Smartburn - ON
Overspeed - ON
Clear OPC - YES

Boot and burn in SAFE MODE!!!

How are you writing in 4x? When i try to burn, it says the drive only supports writing these discs at 2.4x. Can iHAS124 not burn faster than that for these discs?

enabling 2 things:
OPC in imgburn
and also overspeed in eeprom tool (yo cn enable this from imgburn also) and of course selecting 4x as burn speed, (not automatic or AWS or MAX)

Heres the problem, I use this method to burn BF3 disc1, it works perfectly,
however, I now burn the disc2 with the same methoed and it failed twice,
this is so pain in the neck.

heres what I got from the last tried.
