Must reset chip each time to boot up

With the chip turned off the xbox works like normal. But if i boot with the chip turned on it will work fine the first time, but if i turn off the xbox and turn it back on it will frag. I must first turn off the chip and turn it back on before it will work. While its fragging, if i turn off the chip and back on before the lights start blinking, it will boot up with the chip just fine. It does this same thing on both bios banks. Other then that it works fine. Any ideas? Thanks

What method did you use to rebuild the LPC? Where are you pulling power from?

I pulled the 5v. from the small black chip to the left of the video connector. One problem i had was the the #9pin on the lpc was not reading 3.2v. So i jumped it from the #15 pin. I did not use a rebuild board. All other pins read correctly compared to xs lpc dianostics sheet.

You used wires for the LPC rebuild, or you didn't rebuild the LPC at all?

Was it doing this before the chip?

No, the xbox worked fine before the chip. And with the stock hard drive, it continues to work with the chip turned off.

So the only time you have to reset the clock is when the chip is on? Did you remove pin 6 from the pin header?

Not the clock. The chip itself. I must flip the switch on the chip "off" and then back "on" each time i restart the xbox. So lets say i boot my xbox with the chip to xbox linux. If for some reason i much reset my xbox, i must turn the xbox off, then flip the switch on the modchip to the off position, and then to the on position, then turn the xbox back on then it will boot into my cromwell bios. If i dont, the xbox will frag.

Unplug the switches on both ends and plug them back in. I would also take a look at the switches themselves and test them with a multimeter.

Switch seems to work fine. whats the Pin on the pin header that is labled RST? Is there a pin that actually resets the chip?

No, there is no reset for the chip.
