LITEON 0225 My 0225 PCB Fired : ( Please HELP !

I was trying to read the dvd key from my (xbox 360 slim) 0225. after a few mins my 0225 PCB fried and smelled like burnt. I did not dump the dvd key yet. I found where it is actually burnt on the PCB(R1 actually fried dont Know about theC6). IS there any one who can help me out with this, im posting the picture..... THANK YOU

I am pointing out what fried. Please let me know what are R1 & C6 and their values

Usually this is a result of upside down power supply as bandit said. Otherwise there shouldn't be a problem on simply reading it.

The small one with arrows to it is nothing more than a 0 ohm resistor you can jump that if you want to with a small piece of wire or solder?

TJ do you think if that solder i marked is shorting that could cause this problem??

No shouldn't do.
It looks ok and he said thats not his board anyway it's just a pic of his mates.

thank you a lot TEAJUNKIE il try jumping it ....... i think it must be fine with out the '0 ohm' resistor. Is it !

Yes the 0 ohm is just there to act as a jumper or link.
They do blow still almost like a fuse.

All the 0225 boards which are fried must have the common problem (R1 burnt) rite !

It almost always blows the capacitor too Thats the bigger black part below it!

(R1 _ 0 ohms) burst and I think C6 is safe.

I would only replace with the same type (from another pcb )
