Nothing too unique, but I'm proud of it nonetheless. I just finished the jewel lights.

I took the lid off a parmasean cheese container and lined it with aluminum foil and put 10 leds in it to illuminate the jewel.

i put a yellow LED above each port that comes on when you plug in a controller.

I'm gonna work on the sound mod as soon as I get some time, I'll post pics if/when I get it completed.

Nice job!

I like the way a light comes on when you plug in a controller, is there a tutorial for that some where? If not how does it work? (I'm still quite new a fitting LED's and stuff).

Good work keep it up.

there is a tutorial for it, but I did it slightly different. The tutorial has you crossing cables inside the controller, and you have to do it to any controller that you want it to work with. However, you can simply connect the negative side of the led to the outer shell of the controller port. There are two small pieces of metal that stick down from the shell into the port, and they connect to metal on the controller's male piece and ground it, completing the cirucit and turning on the LED.

Here's the link to the tutorial on XS: http://xbox-scene.com/articles/controllerled.php

Hell yes thats what i am talking about! Those Leds in the ports are exactly what i needed. My xbox is set up in my basement with my home entertainment system and it gets DARK in there, so im always fishing aroung for the controller port. I'll just be nicking off to the hardware store to get me some LEDS and resistors then... bye! ps thx

 .....I must warn you though.. ..I did the light when controller is plugged in mod some time back, and it made my Steering Wheel controller and xbox live headset quit working:mad: . So, since I rarely have 4 controllers plugged in I left the LED in the panel, but diconnected it on controller port #4. I use this port for my Dongle,Steering Wheel, and when Im on xbox live:D !

....hope this helps, keep up the great mods!

Hey can we get some better pics of this mod as the lighting sucks. From what I see of it does look pretty good, but like to see the detail a little better.:)
