My first burn

ok so i'm about to burn my first game......have the iso of the backup ready but i'm wondering how i need to patch it.I read about patching ss,pfi,and dmi (i think that's what it was).I remember on xbox i'd just load the iso in craxtion,load iso,hit patch,and it was done.Can somebody help me out and lend some info.....what programs i need and the process of patching these things?

a durrrrrrr....i must have just missed it in the tutorial(i seared through it like 8 times.Just confrim this is all i need to do......

get heldocs ss merger....and patch all three......then merge them together?

ok i loaded up ss merger.....and loaded the iso.....but what do i load as the ss,pfi,and dmi file?Do i download these from somwhere?Are they the same for each game?

You will need to extract them using a Hitachi in ModeB or a Samsung in 0800 mode or a Kreon drive. Only the SS is absolutely necessary, the pfi and dmi are optional. While there are sites that host these files, these sites are illegally hosting copyrighted files. Requesting, linking, or discussing downloading these files are against the forum rules.

If you want to download them, you'll have to find them yourself, don't discuss this here. You won't get help.

ok that's fine....i'm pretty sure the security sector is different for each game but how about the pfi and dmi?Are they also different for each game?

and if you don't mind you could you just clarify for me exactly what the security sector is.I mean from my understanding you extract the ss from the game on your pc it's not changed....so why isn't the security sector alread right when you rip it if you're getting the security sector from the same game (i know i didn't explain that well).What i mean is does it change or something when you rip it and you have to change the sector back or what?

ok i got a buddy of mine to give me his ss.bin because he also has the game and i load it up and it's red first of all and the number are nowhere near the same (i read somewhere they should be green).Maybe the security sector i already have in the iso is correct?i just wann make sure i'm doin this right before burning

ok tried to burn twice and got errors.i'm using recordnow max so i'm going to try clone cd next but wanna see if you guys now what the problem might be because these dual layers blanks are expensive..don't wanna waste anymore.The error i'm getting is....

error-10 at sector 2297904-command:2A sense:05 ASC:21 ACSQ:02

i'm using pioneer 111d and memorex media
