GENERAL My freind updated is flashed xbox and got e66

Hi i flashed my freinds xbox, and he updated it and got e66,

my x360usb broke, when i plug it in, my computer doesnt reconize enything,

i have not saved a backup of is old firmware, will the dvd key be corrupted or will it beable to get when i buy a new x360usb?

also if anyone can help me fix my x360usb via teamviewer i would be happy, Thanks alot

have you contacted the company u bought the x360 from about the warranty. does the lights come on atleast on ur x360 and is it set to update mode?

E66: DVD Drive Error: DVD model, or version does not match that of the version expected by the dashboard. OR the firmware version on the drive is older then the firmware version expected by the dashboard. Make sure the DVD drive is of the same version originally included with the console and that it is using either the original firmware included with the console or newer.

make sure the correct f/w and drive is in the console when updating the xbox.

You are probably better off getting a new x360usb pro and then trying to retrieve the key again.

My lights and everything still come and i messaged modtraders, and i had to fill in a form, and ive just moved house, and my x360usb is still at my old house , and will the key be able if i buy a new 1?

yes you will be able to read it IF you did not put the wrong key up there. and is it the correct drive for that version of the xbox?

Is it a Samsung drive by chance? If it is, flash back to OFW and then take the update again and it should go fine. I had it happen to me the other day. Also, you should be able to pull the key as usual.

you should of flashed it back to stock before updating just to be safe.
