As mentioned above, I had my Hitachi 79 drive working today, and I decided to flash it, I managed however to backup and write a LT+ firmware on it. I had to re-do the process to find out my drive can not read any cd(s)! I put in any dvd and it works in windows. In addition my Unlock_79 disc is perfectly fine! I tried other discs but it fails to even read, I tried also to burn unlock_79 to a dvd, but it fails to write...
Please help!

So if it's yes, what did you do?

If you want help, I suggest you be clear on exactly what you've done.
1- made a backup.
2- Flash it with LTPlus-79-4e10-2.0b.bin.
3- Hooking up the drive to xbox; however, it refused to eject the drive, ( A single blink then nothing).
4- Again flashing the drive with the original backup I made.
5- Xbox response remain the same.
6- I flashed it to LTPlus-79-4b00-2.0b.bin.
7- same as step 5.
8- Now I im stuck at the current issue.

Why are you selecting custom firmwares?

You should be following the JF tutorial. There is absolutely NO need to select ANY firmware with Hitachi drives. JF selects the one for your drive.

ALL Hitachi actions are carried out in the GDR-3120L tab.

Well, Im basically screwed, I have an extra benq drive, I flashed it and things are good, I hooked the hitachi drive to the xbox, and ran an update, I hope it reflashes my drive to the default settings.
I also cleaned the lens.
Thanks for the help. Got a question: is it possible to make an audio dvd unlock disk?

If you already have modded firmware on your 79, there is no reason to use an unlock disc. Simply power on the drive while the tray is open.

The drive will close. It is then in mode B and unlocked.

No, the 79 unlock only works on audio CDs.

The drive is in mode b but not unlocked, I'm connecting the drive via ck3
Whenver I place a CD I hear few clicking sound then nothin, DVD however work right away.
What the f**k is this?!
I should also note when I click on eject (ck3 button) it ignored the command.

So did you power with the tray open as suggested, then try to dump the drive?

Post your JungleFlasher log after powering the drive with the tray open.

If the drive is modded, the tray will (or should) go back in and Mode B will be set for you.

You should also see something about a bit (bit 3 I think) being set in the log - this means your drive has been unlocked.
