My Little Blue Light has packed up

Hello everyone..................

Well i've had an xecuter 2.6 and xapter on my box for a few months with no problems but today my blue light on the chip packed up, i had a "dashboard files" error also, ive done some fiddling and can get it to work again now but still no blue light? i havn't disabled the LED switch or anything, So i'm wondering if this is the start of a faliure with the chip or just a bulb blown?

Does your Xbox still boot to the dash?


Try pressing down firmly (but not too hard!) on your chip that's mounted on the Xapter, and then power the Xbox on at the same time - maybe one of the Xapter to mobo connection has come loose?

if the chip works like normal (when enabled) without the blue led on then the led might be gone

check your D0 wire as well that it has not come loose and has a good connection

I've just realised now that the blue led on the front switch panel isnt on for mine either.... Tho everything works fine. It boots up to both evox or ms dash, no problems playing any games, so is it really anything for me to worry about. Im using an xapter for the 2.6CE.

that's because you have not soldered the hdd/lan/D0 wires onto the bottom of the board, so you will not get those leds (blue is hdd and orange is lan) to light up

ok so nothing to worry about Sorry for hijacking your post three15 and fingers crossed u get ur problem sorted soon. And thanx MKChampion for the quick reply.

All conections are fine, and no amount of pressure makes the LED on the chip light up. it works ok though{except for the above mentioned} boots to dash and lauches apps from the HDD ok. Hopefully its just the bulb and not something more sinister!
