I just took out my old 2.6ce kit to put in a friends box and realized my pin header is only 12 pins? It is way too small... why did i get this pin??

how do i get a 16 pin?

can i install itin a 1.2 or 1.3 box with 12 pins?

You could just do a wire install. It isn't any harder than doing the pin header.

Also, if I remember correctly the X2 doesn't use all of the pins in the pin header. The last two are just for the X3. The only reason you solder them for the X2.6 is so that in the event you want to upgrade to the X3, all you have to do is swap chips.

im looking at pics online (the lpc pics in your msg) and i have 1 through 12. however, when i look @ http://www.cstech.biz/images/x2.6.wire.install.jpg i see they dont use 15 and 16 but they do use 13 and 14 so i dont think my pin header with 12 pins would work because they also use 1 and 2 and it wont fit from 1-2 to 13,14... any ideas?

i dont wanna order a new pin header i wanna do it now

The x2.6CE does NOT use pins 13-16 (the x3 does though...). So, just put the header ih holes 1-12 (pull pin 4 of course so it fits), and put the chip on those. It'll work just fine.
