Incredible! I've seen some beautiful XBoxes in my day, but yours just takes the cake! Form AND Function! Show AND Go! Very, very, very impressive! I think your really ought to do two things:

1) Send in the pics to XBox Transformed. You will definately have mod of the month!
2) Go to a computer show! I'm sure you could be in the runnings for a prize there too!

I worship the ground you walk on! :) Congratulations on a jorb well done!

You have inspired me!

I have all of these parts laying around that come together to create a useful item..

That is great.

Just need to find a case. Where did you get yours?

I have a 12.1" LCD that has been in the box since I purchased it a year ago. It was a good deal, so I couldn't pass it up. I also have the wireless G adapter (still in the package, same reason) and a nice power inverter for the 12V application.

Nice.. Thanks for the inspiration, and don't worry, I won't copy you. I will just try and do something half as good!

Sweeet... you should maybe dremel slits in the top of the box for ventilation purposes... its appears that the side vents and rear fan are completely covered.

The side vents on the Mobo side have about 3/4" of space, and I made sure that the front vents are unobstructed. The case is modded behind the exhaust fan, so that the air can get out. I have 4 fans total inside this thing, so it pulls air through pretty good. Played it for 7 hours straight the other day, and had no overheating problems. Plus I'm using a copper CPU heatsink, and all the heatsinks have Arctic Silver 5 under them. I spent more time modding the cooling system than I did installing the mod chip.

I'm happy with how everything turned out. It's really fun. I like LEDs and stuff like that, but I was afraid that having a brightly lit Xbox so close to the screen would be distracting during a game. I have some plans to make a crazier portable system in the future. My 2 other Xboxes are begging to be modded, but I think I'll wait for the Xbox 2. Thanks for all the compliments. I owe a lot of it to the guys on this site. I didn't know a thing about modified Xboxes until I stumbled on this website and a couple other websites, a few months ago. :)

It's actually a Photography equipment case, which is an inch or two bigger all around than a standard business briefcase. I got it off Ebay.

but either way, after ruining two keyboards from just glaring at this thing, its a very impressive mod, shows high effort, time, and money went into it. very clean. remarkable. great job

Thanks.:D

I just took it to show my buddies that work at GameCrazy, and after a couple minutes we had about 20 people around us watching us play on it. Tons of people were amazed that an Xbox could do so many things, via a Mod chip. I directed them to a few websites, including this one. So hopefully I added a few new modders to the community. :)

So far I've got 33 games on the HDD, and haven't even used half the HDD. I've still got plenty more games to rip. I love it!

I wish I would have put a 400gb HDD in this thing.

I have one more mod planned for this thing. I want to add some small Altec Lansing computer speakers on each side of the screen, because sometimes the volume on movies is not quite loud enough, with the built-in speakers. The volume while playing games is fine though. Anybody know why this is?

Anyway I'm thinking of trying to make these fit. (Speakers)
