Hello all. Wanted to share the DGX setup i use that works on alot of Trinitys. So far I have used the DGX on 26 Trinity's to retrieve cpu keys and using this setup I've never had one not boot, some boot instantly, some take a few minutes but like i said they all boot. (That goes with saying this setup may not work for all Trinitys although i haven't ran into one, you might. This is what works for me) (Pictures coming soon)

What im using:
JRP/Nandx/CR v3 QSB
DGX
NANDX USB update cable to monitor COM port
Cpu_reset wire: 11cm
Post_Out wire: 90cm

For the Cpu_reset I use the black ground wire (11cm) that comes with the DGX. "Pad D" on DGX is soldered to point FT4R2 on bottom of motherboard.

For Post_Out I use a 90cm wire taken from an ethernet cable. "Pad C" is soldered to standard Post_Out point on the bottom of the motherboard with wire slack coiled around fan on top of motherboard.

All other wires are standard DGX wires and soldered to there normal points on QSB.

Hope this helps someone out.

Good to have recommended settings to try first on these Trinities. So I'm gonna make a note of these and give em a go next time I've gotta use a DGX.

Good work & Thanx :)

No prob, always looking to help out when I can. If you try this setup can you post your results? I'm curious to see how well this works for others.

Thanks madhacker83. My DGX arrives in the next few days and i have 4 Trinities waiting, will definitely be using your setup purely because of the proven consistency

Man, could you post a photo for your POST_OUT wire setup around fan?

I did exactly what you said and no still no glitch!!

I did almost everything possible on this Trinity.

Tried to use a post_out cable starting from 200cm decreasing it in 5cm by 5cm until 10!!! and still no glitch..

Very strange!!

I'm using GND black 11cm cable on CPU_RST and already used TRINITY QSB as well..

POST_OUT length cable is not the ultimate solution I guess... DGX is far way to be perfect on all slim mobos!!!

Still trying..

Hi

This is my Trinity setup ,it may help you

Cpu_RST = 11cm (black or blue wire )
Post_out = ( yellow wire of slim or simillar 6.5 cm + 70 cm of AWG 30 or 24 or 26 or ethernet )

after 1st minute of first trial will crash just remove the power cable and reinsert it after 10 seconds.
and try again
Good luck

How long are you letting it glitch? It is recommended to let it glitch at least 10 minutes And several cold reboots per each wire length,, e.x. post out - 90cm turn it on and let it glitch 10 min, if no success change post out to 95cm and let it glitch 10 min, etc until you successfully glitch into xell. I had a trinity recently that took 15 minutes to glitch. Don't get discouraged you will get it to glitch, just keep trying. I worked on my first one for 5 straight days before i glitched into xell.

I will take a pic when i do my next trinity but i have since discovered that it really doesn't matter how the post out wire is ran (coiled around fan, coiled around clamp, etc) it is the length of the post out wire that is important.

Thanks to this thread :)

I had a trinity not wanting to boot, so I changed cpu_rst to ground wire from a old Coolrunner, (on alt point) and used the yellow wire from the phat wiring(from the Coolrunner) on post_out hanging around topside booted xell in around 2 mins.

Demon installed and Coolrunner revc
Boots like a champ ;)
