I have a 1.1 xbox and just got my excuter 2.6 chip. are there any install guides specific to this setup? by the looks of it I have a painful install ahead?
The install isn't difficult if you know how to solder. Be sure to take your time, and don't leave the soldering iron in the same spot for too long. Also, don't use an iron hotter than 15 watts.
More soldering tips... use a good, clean pencil tip on the iron and give it time to heat up before doing any work. An iron that isn't yet up to temp makes things difficult and generally produces poor ("cold") joints. If possible get some rosin/flux to help the solder flow into the joints.
