n00b needs help

Right now i am assuming that i burnt the disk correctly but the screen says waiting for disc then it ejects the disk.

I am thinking that it might be the media (TDK) because i extract the 3029.bin rename it bios.bin and have the dummy.bin at 100

Your thoughts on how to fix this problem would be great, but please no useless insults.

no useless insults here since I used to be a noob. IMHO, easiest way to flash without frustration of burning is cd is via http flash (if you have network or crossover cable that is). Try it and you will never go back to burning cd's. Let me know if you need help. Tell me about your network hardware ie. dchp disabled or enabled, PC ip, etc.

He is absolutly correct but, If you must burn media I would use a dvd. I have had lots of problems getting my Thomson to read media other than dvd.
