Hey,
Looking to use my xbox 360 that kinda got put into storage for the last load of years.

Not sure where to start, but its the original xbox 360
Mfg Date 2005 - 12 - 06
From what I remember, it had one of the first Xecuter chips. V1 or 2.
Dashboard v 2.0.6717.0

Its blocked from Live & I would like to update the dashboard & install some apps like Sky Go.

Any help where I should start?

Thanks for the quick response.
So I guess back into storage it should go!
maybe I will just do a good deed with it & donate it to some children care home or something.
Just looking for an easy way to watch the cricket in work :eek:P

Why have the modchips on it if the dash version is that low??? I'd use the chip on something that you cant JTAG first of all.

Secondly, since the dashboard is so low, maybe consider doing a JTAG on it? If its a Xenon (Which I think it is by the manufacturing date) all it is is a 2 diode and one wire solder job to enable it to have XeLL and all the other stuff that you'd need a modchip for. I wouldnt update it from M$, I'd instead get a JR Programmer, dump the NAND, Write a XeLL for JTAG, boot it and send the cpu key to your computer, then download the newest Dash from Jrunner and update that way.

If it's banned and you still want Xbox Live, you could just replace the KV but honestly the dash is so low I'd really just JTAG it and keep it for homebrew like running Aurora and the such on it.

I'd not waste any time on it, Englands cricket is painful to watch.
