Hi, i have installed the QSB kit that came with the Nand-X and am trying to dump my Nand.

I get 2 bad blocks in the same place every time. Is this normal? Is there anything i can do to try and fix the problem.

I have never done this kind of thing before so want a 100% Nand dump before continuing. Any help greatly appreciated.

I used Jtag Tool to do the dump again, after comparing Nand1 against Nand2 i get 32768 block(s) in nand image
0 non-matching block(s) found.

This is a good result isn't it ?

My head is spinning from all the tutorials i've read, some say if you have Jasper with CB 6750 you cant install an RGH? Is that correct cos in one of the tuts they show a pic that says you can RGH all consoles after 28th Aug 2011.

At the moment i did not buy a coolrunner because i wanted to check my CB version which is 6750. Am i ok to order one?

Thanks for helping out a noob! i really appreciate it :)

EDIT:/ I ran my dump through the program you said and got this..

Note : Bad Block ID 0x00D0 [Offset 0x01AD000]
-> Block ID 0x00D0 found @ 0x1FF [Offset :041DF000]

It's good unless it's just all zeroes.

open it in 360 Flash Dump Tool and it will tell you what you need to know.

6750 and 6751 can both be RGH'd.

ok so you're sorted.

You can compare nand dumps til you're blue in the face but the fact of the matter is it's a pointless exercise.

If you can open it in 360 Flash Dump Tool and the data looks ok, with bad blocks being remapped you're good to go.
