any thing that is not JTAG'able has the 2 E-fuse's burned out that give you your CPU key also i beleive the CPU key is now encrypted after the E-fuse's are burned

these E-fuse's are located within the CPU its self and are not replaceable like a normal fuse (just so you dont get any more crazy ideas)

HOW EVER if you can get your hands on a NAND and a CPU from a dead board you could have them transplanted onto your board and have a JTAG'able system

bear in mind you can read the NAND of ANY xbox dead board or not as long as the NAND solder points or there alt points (if they exist tho im almost sure they do) are not destroyed

if you really want to go on a mad parts hunt post an add in the buy sell trade section requesting dead boards mention what your up too perhaps some one has some thing to offer

the transplant idea is just that tho an idea if im wrong any one feel free to correct me

you are correct korn. You take a jtagable xbox you dump the nand 1st then you pull the cpu off and transplant it to a working board and rewrite the nand back to it. pretty simple really! Provided of course you know how to reball the cpu chip....

was just thinking it might be easyer to come across a dead mobo that had a jtagable CPU VS a whole JTAGable system in the first place lol

if you live in the US xmods does reballs there are others here also i believe i just know that xmods is one of them

$80 (xmods reball price) plus the cost (if any)of a dead donor board is about what you would pay for a referb 360 any how

is there any difference in the CPU from board to board for example would he have to find a jasper donor board?

if its any thing like computers (with different mobo revisions) i wouldn't imagine there is any physical differences in the CPU its self just in the board traces and such, than again i have read about a few differences in the CPU for certin boards (i think one of them was the jasper) something about XXXms (milliseconds i believe) or some thing like that, any one have more insight about this areas for the poster perhaps?

No it's not. It's the surface mounted chip under the heat sink on the right.

Also You need a Jasper CPU, a Xenon CPU will not work on your system.

You shouldn't bother doing something of this caliber if you think the southbridge is the CPU, no offense. Just trying to save you cash and time.

What? in that pic he in no way attempted to identify the south bridge as the cpu.

Back on subject, you will need a working none jtagable jasper mother board to transplant your jtagable cpu onto.

The cpu is in fact located on the right side underneath the heat sink.

I do also agree that it does not seem as though you have the knowledge and expierence needed to perform such a huge overhaul on one of these systems. The proper tools to do the job will cost you well over $2000.
I would say do a Youtube search for xbox 360 reballing and see what it is that is required to perform this task.

To the op.... There's a few people in the states that will swap a CPU for an exploitable one, if you cant find any on here take a look over on xbox-scene.
