hi all.

xbox 360 Falcon (hdmi)

i would like to say i am a newbie to this so please be gentle but all the help and advise will be very grateful.

today i decided to fix my xbox after such a long time, so im abit outdated with the scene.

due to a e79 error message i checked my jtag wiring and all good. still not fixed the problem however before me opening it i wasnt able to read the nand, but after checking wiring i am now able to read the nand.

im using jTag Tool - coolshrimp. lpt port.

the problems i have are

1. i dont have the orignal nand dump.
2. i dont no what to do to fix it.
3.I carnt remember which dash is on it, when i press the eject button it takes me to xell.

so i do have the cpu keys though.

can somebode please help me to over come this big hiccup.

Thank You
Dal.

Update XeLL to XeLLous and then take a NAND dump via HTTP. Once this is done, you can use that along with your CPU key to build a working FreeBOOT image.

I wil say no.

all i have is jtag wiring inside and the jtag tool software thats lets me read the nand, but other then that nothing.

but hey it goes wrong it goes wrong,

i just put the xbox on now, and i pressed the eject button to take me to the blue screen, but it didnt this time, just took me to a red light and a error message e79 on the creen, how ever before i did get the blue screen and took a picture of the cpu keys....

Try using BoXXDr's wiring as that cures a lot of E79 errors. I would also recommend the NAND-X USB SPI flasher but you can build your own LPT version if you wish however, it takes a lot longer using LPT and can get quite frustrating if things go wrong lol.

So you have a NAND flasher? Is it LPT or USB? Yes, you can make a clean/stock NAND but I would suggest flashing FreeBOOT using a clean image and your CPU Key. At least that way you could get things up and running and keep your console as a JTAG :).
