if anyone gets the dreaded cant find controller or can not continue with 0x0000000 after you got a clean dump or 2, then either flashed ecc file or a bad flash.

it has nowt to do with your soldering it is the nand it has frozen 90% of the time it will not short ( clear )nand.
u might get fxffffffff or erase errors on every block.

so if this occurs to you tell all these people on here that go on about your soldering to "stfu"

this site is full of the un-helpful with exception of a select few that want to help others

The NAND has frozen?

What? Then shouldn't the xbox not be able to use it? and then after the xbox "unfreezes" it shouldn't it work?

Don't post a crack pot theory without anything to back it up. Much less, I can barely tell what you're theory is.

What is being suggested is a result similar to what would happen were you to flash a Jasper with a Xenon nand image or similar, locking the SMC up and basically disabling the Southbridge for all intents and purposes, rendering you unable to read and write the nand, power the console on, al etc. However, the only way for this to happen these days, since tools like J-Runner have been developed, is to have poor soldering in the first place that results in a corrupt image being written to the console. Yes, you may have to go through an extra step of bridging a few data pins on the nand to read/write it again, but it's always down to the soldering in the first place, or another error on the user's part, either selecting the wrong image, selecting the wrong options in the tool they're using, etc. I've so far only found one genuinely hardware-related 0x000000 error, and I had to replace the Southbridge entirely to get it running again..someone shorted the system in some fashion attempting a CR install.

So between you dumping the NAND and then flashing the ECC, what's changing to cause the NAND to 'freeze' (new one on me). Maybe, just maybe, more soldering is carried out, like STBY_CLK? You know, that really small point which when damaged the clock line is broken and the southbridge won't start properly?

I've never had a NAND freeze on me. I've fixed my fair share of muck-ups to the STBY_CLK though. Work the stats yourself and realise why we ask for people to check their soldering.

I got the 0x0000000 on an old nandx V3 of mine - Replaced the nandx and all was good.

Honestly I had the same nand x for ever it seems. Never one single problem truthfully. I don't understand how people nand x breaks. I updated it to v3 by using an maximus xtractor and soldering the wires when v3 code first came out.

Not one problem, runs like a dream.

so I don't think its the company I think people are messing up.

I have to admit I do like these kinda posts..Especially after doing reballs all day long and your tired, wore out and frustrated..Always gives me a good laugh to see how people can waste their time to come on forums and rant that a product sucks and it's not them or their soldering..Too funny...

Did 7 reballs today and two didn't pan out. I even applied the tx rrod fix to see if I just wasn't getting a good connection after reball and still it didn't work, I think they owe me some money :) hahahahah j/k folks

P.s. Funny how I just wasted my time and bw even replying to this post :p
