DRIVERS nand x and usb hub

hi guys :biggrin: wondering if someone could help me out here?
i plugged my nand x into my usb hub to install the drivers. i waited for the windows pop up to so could not find drivers and went to device manager to right click it and all that, but my device manager was refreshing every 2 seconds!?
so i unplugged my nand x and it stopped, plugged it in and again it began to refresh. restarted my laptop, tried again, same thing.
so i tried it in every port (7 of them) on my usb hub and got the same result. everything else works fine in it apart from my nand x.
i then plugged the nand x into a usb port connected to my laptop and device manager didn't refresh it came up as it should in the install drivers tut.
is there any way to fix this? or any reason for it? as i dont have any free usb ports apart from the usb hub and with it refreshing like it is plugged into my usb hub i dont think it would be suitable to use the nand x like that would it.
finally got the confidence to try install the coolrunner and i get stuck like this :facepalm: i knew something would go wrong lol

In that case although its not your ideal set up.I would just do the rgh with your nandx connected straight to your laptops usb.It does't take that long to dump the nand reflash with the new image.Programme your coolrunner,etc.Then reconnect the hub for your other peripherals after you have finished.

ok pal cheers for that, looks like i dont have a choice really haha. only reason i could come up with it doing this is that the usb must make it too big of an extension and the info is struggling to get passed from the laptop to the nand x and vice versa. strange how the ck3i and xusb pro works fine plugged into it tho. anyway cheers for the info pal.
