Thank you very much. but I afraid it made no difference. I am sure I am not the only person ever to have this problem.

But knowledge is power to some :-(

Firstly, the Nand X is the superior device in terms of speed. I've had multiple readers over the years including the JRPv2 and the Nand X cannot be matched imho. I'm intrigued by the wrong arm notification and have to ask whether the console boots - the notification is usually indicative of an incorrect nand written and may require shorting the nand. If it does boot the issue points to the nand (provided correct soldering). I would also check the bottom of the mobo for solder that may have seeped through to the other side and causing a bridge. As an alternative approach I would recommend installing JRunner on a different pc and attempting to read it (preferably with a version of windows)

Wrong Arm version is not indicative of anything wrong with the console.

Notice in his log it says ARM version 01?

Yeah, ARM version 03 is required for RGH.

Version 01 can only do JTAG stuff and read/write nands.
It won't be able to program CR or write .ecc.

He needs to get/build a NANDx update cable.
