Hi everyone, I have a jasper 512mb nand I am trying to read and I keep getting the same error every time.
Error: 250 reading block 598
Error: 218 reading block 59A
I know 598 is just a bad block but no matter how many times I read the nand (i've read it dozens of times) block 59a is mismatched and I cant remap the blocks. Should I try to manually remap 59a and assume it is just a bad block? if so, how do I go about doing that?
Thanks

I personally have a xenon while dumping the nand with a error reading bad blocks, you need to move those blocks by remapping.

I wish i could do it myself but Coolshrimp remapped em and since i have freeboot insalled and no problems:)

Good Luck

Are you using JTag tool? As that has remapping options.....

Bad blocks is one thing and mismatch is another, don't get the two mixed up. A mismatching blocks means a bad dump and most likely due to soldering or bad connection, this also might happen when writing back to the NAND.

I wouldn't proceed until you can dump identical reads with no mismatching blocks.
