Nand-x Cable

I know that number 3 in this picture can be soldered directly to the board if you cut off the pin headers. I do not want to cut them off, my question is it possible to buy these cables somewhere ? Or do I have to make them myself, if so then what is the connector that plugs into the nand-x called ? And are the wires from ribbon cable ?
Also the pin headers are 2.00x2.00 mm ? I couldn't find them. Yes I know they sell them, but I am looking for a long strip of them, where I cut them my self.
Thank you so much :D

ive never seen the pin header cables sold seperately. as for the actual pin headers im not sure on the size, ive got a load here that have a 2.54mm pitch and they dont fit. they fit all the other holes on the 360 but the nand holes are smaller.

Just like FLASH said, the Pin Headers with the cables included only come with the Nand-X itself. The alternative is to either take the wires out of the Pin Headers and insert them into the Pin Headers every time you want to use them Or to make a cable yourself.

I haven't tried to make these cables myself, but manwithoutname should be able to help you further regarding this matter as he likes to do things such as this ;)

tbh mate i think you will struggle to get the cables anywhere unless xecuter starts to sell them. as for the pin headers, i havent seen that exact size in long strips only the ones with a bigger pitch.

^^ those will work fine i actually use direct wire install take like 60 sec to solder all the wires in and you don't have to clear out the headers from the pin header

i took some resistors cut one end off them, then soldered it to the wire covered it in heat shrink tubing to keep from having to keep messing with the wires you now have a sold metal piece to solder to the pin header

Thank you very much, but you use resistors ? Doesn't the nand-x package use BAT41 diodes. So how do resistors work ? Are they used like diodes ?
Also are the nand reading cables from ribbon cable ?

hi,

you can use either or, as for the cable, i use an old ethernet cable, split the strands

they wont fit cause the pitch needs to be 2.0mm. ive got about 500 of them 2.54mm ones here and just tested them. theyre too wide and would need to be bent into place.

look at the difference in pitch between j1d2 and j2d2. j2d2 is a 2.54mm pitch and you can clearly see its bigger than j1d1. thats why i just use the ones from modtraders cause theyre hard to get hold of.

that sounds easier than the pin headers. i might just do that save time and money. sucks i just bought 20 pin headers. ill keep them just in case someone request it.
