NAND-X connected but nothing happens!

So, here is another bitter experience from me about NAND-X.

Days before I got my NAND-X and today I connected it to PC but nothing happens, no "new hardware found" info, no unknown device, just nothing. I searched device manager for memory access device or unknown device but there is nothing like this.

As I connected my NAND-X to USB the RED and YELLOW lights both were lighted. Here is the picture

I tried on several ports and in another PC but the result is same.

Please, anyone can help? Thanks

You may have plug and play auto detect disabled, a dialogue screen asking for drivers will never appear if that's the case. I have mine disabled for security reasons. Open Device Manager and click on "Scan for hardware changes". It should find NAND-X, then just specify the directory where the driver files are and it will install.

I didn't disabled explorer notification rather I went to device manager and clicked "scan for hardware changes" but nothing happens.
And this is not my PC issue as I tried several PCs.

Thanks

Sounds to me like it's a faulty one in that case. Have you contacted your reseller for help and/or replacement?

I haven't yet notified the retailer. Will need to do so I think.

Maybe it was sent out with a blank chip try flashing/updating it with the v3 arm
What I learned from forum is, If there is no firmware in nand-x chip then the yellow light will not lit. But in my case the yellow light is lit indicating that nand-x is ready to read/write (according to xecuter).

So, I think the chip is not blank.

So, here are the updates after a week:

1. I tried over 6 pcs (Win 7 X86, Win 7 X64, Win Xp x86, Mint & mac OSx to). Never detected. Only unknown device in Device manager in windows. No memory access. Don't take driver.

2. Tried changing mini USB cable ( 3 cables). But no luck

So, as both lights are on, I assume it's faulty. Just to let you know, I live in Bangladesh and getting anything or returning back from USA/UK/CA costs a lot ! I am getting frustrated...

Why so many faulty nand-x is on the air? I read all over this forum. Still I believe TX would make state-of-art products for 360 development but why nand-x is like this?

Just to back up TX. Yes there are a few faulty nand-x s out in the wild. From the many thousands sold regularly there will always be a few. Don't be decieved by the amount of posts for faulty hardware on the forums. Often when there is a problem that isn't instantly traced by a user on this forum the user blames the hardware. 90% of the posts blaming hardware are resolved or found to be other problems in the end. Most posts here are for problems obviously. When they are resolved people quickly staart playing on their xbox and forget to post their eventual solutions.

Don't forget we are quick to post when we find a faulty piece of equipment. There aren't many who post to say their equipment worked exactly as it should.

If it is faulty and you have a good supplier he should refund the return postage I would have thought. If it's user error it will be returned at your cost. That seems normal to me.

Thanks ball00 for your clearance, I know that. TX would make the best on market that's why I consider buying nand-x again but not ma*imus nand reader or nand flasher ! I always believes on them and this time I am ordering through XConsoles!

Here's a small update about my NAND-X. The problem was in mini USB port. after de-soldering it and then re-solder, everything's was fine. Thanks to HDcity !
