i want to order the things to do my RGH but i'm doubting about this

if i buy this cable and the pinheaders would make things a little easier ?
http://www.modtraders.co.uk/product.php?productid=408&cat=33&page=1

http://www.modtraders.co.uk/xecuter-nand-x_pin-headers.html

can i program the coolrunner with that cable and also dump the nand ?

or should i just get this cable ?
http://www.modtraders.co.uk/xecuter-nand-x-to-coolrunner-jtag-cable.html

as i will also order the nand-x
http://www.modtraders.co.uk/xecuter-nand-x.html

i saw that it includes :

Optional Pin Header Connection Kit For NAND (Can Convert To Wires Only Install Also)

would that be the same pinheaders and cable i want to order and how many pinheaders come with the nand-x ?

besides coolrunner ,nand-x and one of the cables above do i need anything else to dump the nand and do the RGH ?

Ps. i'm not interested in the QSB

thanks for the help

ok to clear a few things up get nandx kit and coolrunner programmer . If its your own unit and not going to do multi install's included in the kit is qsb's for nand reading my own box has these installed all others i solder directly to the board the nand x qsb's are the two next to the nandx the two to the far left are for jtagging xenons for jtagging a hdmi model you will need the second top left and the two wires that are sheilded the wire with three tags and one white is for nandx qsb the other is the pin header type. I have kept the three connector type lead for myself agin plugs straight in on my board. you can snip the wires or modify the pin header type for multi installs. You will need the coolrunner cable if you are going to do an rgh . Ok that clears up what the kit does but please read Martin c's guide as to when to unplug cables at times of rgh/jtag install

footnote the yellow and blue cable connects between the qsb's for xenon jtags

pin headers can help but you have to desolder the points to read nand then solder pin headers back in i have snipped mine and soldered directly to board much quicker . Read about jaspers, boot times ect these can be a bit of a headache but theres loads of people here to help . sorting out the jaspers esp the nand size and use j runner I found its the best to use there are other programmes but if you have large mem on jaspers the j runner tool sorts out the amount of nand to read . As for kit this and 2 coolrunners are all you will need. Good luck and dont panic if you get stuck .

I myself use it as a tool and wasnt for a 1 time use. thus i snipped off the pin and solder the cables directly to the xbox.

Once the coolrunner and the nandx is directly soldered i then program the coolrunner, flash the nand and build the ecc, using J-Runner. after i desolder the nandx leaving the coolrunner. Job completed its very simple if you have any questions regarding the mod dont hesitate to pm me if you wish

Pinheaders can be a beast when your first learning. The 25w iron reccomendation is not enough to clear out some points. As for the coolrunner pinheader cable on phats I remove one section to allow the 3.3v to still be connected and be able to remove pin headers. On the slims I remove two sections for your 3.3v, E, and F points. Qsbs are the easiest for begginners in my opinion. Wires are easy as well.
