Hi guys

I tell you my problem:

Last week I was doing RGH in a Xbox 360, everything was perfect but when I went to do another one my Nand-x didn´t work

At first I though, well it could be a bad soldering becuase when I connected it to the usb cable, i got the typical windows sound when you connect a device and nand-x gets orange and red leds. But after I checked them one, twice the nand-x didn´t work yet. When I try to read the nand jrunner says me the device is not found

Well I called my friend who has another nand-x, we tried it with the same wiring i did and it worked without problems so we deduced my nand-x was bad.

I thought it could be a programming fail also, so i followed this link:

http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74259

but i used the nandx-usb cable instead of c3ki or c3k pro. Everything finshed fine but my nand-x don´t work yet.

The last thing that comes to mind is open it and resolder the connector which have the wires to the board and the usb connector

What do you think guys? will it have solution or should I buy a new one?

thanks in advance

If Windows (Device Manager) still sees an Xecuter NAND-X, it is very unlikely that you have a faulty unit.

When you "updated" it, did you use the V3 ARM firmware?

I can confirm that the USB update cable is fine as I use one myself.

You should post some images of your SPI wiring so we can determine whether or not there's an issue regarding soldering.

Yes, I used the V3 ARM Firmware (which comes with nandpro 3.0)

I don´t think it is a problem with the wiring because as I have said before if I unplug the nand-x leaving the wires and y plug another one, this works perfectly

It´s very strange

Did the flashing process go well?

If your NAND-X was correctly programmed, you will see the usual yellow/orange and red LEDs lit.

Is it detected correctly under Device Manager as "Xecuter NAND-X"?

Yes, the flashing process finished well. And yes, when I plug the USB cable I always have the Red/Orange led lit

I haven´t check it in the Device Manager, I will do it tomorrow because I don´t have it here now

I will tell you tomorrow

FWIW - I managed to leave my Nand-x plugged in while I was attempting to glitch a console and damaged my nand-x. It still showed under device manager and would still flash Coolrunners, but would not read/write to the nand. I had to order a new Nand-x, and ended up keeping the damaged one for CR flashes only.

I usually desolder nand-x when I write ECC.

I have realised in Device Manager my nand-x appears like memory access, should it appears like nand-x? or it doesn´t matter

How do you write the nand then?, Did you mean after you write .ECC

Try Resetting the nand-X

Well I have unistalled drivers and reinstalled them again but nothing. I have opened it and I have resoldered the connector where the wires go but nothing

I think I am going to give up and buy another one

Mine has locked up before - not sure why but resetting it worked - small hole in the top of the unit.
