I just installed nand x kit, and opened up nandpro.exe and ran nandpro usb: r-16 orig.bin and I got this:

Nandpro v2.0b by Tiros

Looking for usb interface device
FlashConfig: 01198010
Starting Block: 0x000000
Ending Block: 0x0003FF
Reading
Error: 250 reading block 394
03FF

I' m using xenon board, and the dash is 6xxxx or 7xxxx I forgot, but still has blades. Any help with error? I'm downloading coolshrimp app now.

Tim

edit. Have dumped 3 times (out of 1024 blocks, 0 non matching blocks found) but dump number 2 had 1 non matching block.
dumps 1, 3, 4 are the same.

If you got the same bad block in all dumps then that is normal and you can proceed. However, I would recommend re-dumping the NAND again 3-4 times to try and get 3 identical dumps with 0 non matching blocks.

I did exactly that, and have 8 dumps that are the same now. But, i installed jtag portion of the kit and I am getting red ring, I'm not sure how to solder the J1F1 points because there is nothing to solder to. My intentions were to install xell and get my key. I got RR and fan speed increased as soon as it was powered on.

I erased xell, and went back to original nand, now it boots....hmm.....jtag error?

What board it is? You have to install the JTAG part and correctly else xell won't work.

Perhaps you can post some pictures with your install/soldering?

thanks. Might be the first, but actually forgot to solder one point on the qsb board. I've booted to xell, but how do you slow it down to read keys? lol

You can't, you have to either take a picture of your screen or if you're lucky as me I got a picture hold function on my TV which freezes the image.

If I recall correctly, you can update xell to xellous which generates a text file onto USB stick which will include the CPU key. But if I were you I'd just grab part of the fuses, reboot and get some more until I got the whole fuse set to combine and name the CPU key.

I took a picture. Made a freeboot.bin using coolshrimp's jtag tool v2.20. May have took 5 minutes. I'm so far behind on the jtag's apps though. The last apps I had almost a year ago were NXE2GOD and xexmemu. Now there are hundreds.
