Hello there, first off I'm a complete noob when it comes to soldering, etc. I'm getting a family member to help me on that.

Anyways, I've got a 360 slim and I plan on doing the RGH. I have both the coolrunner and NAND-X. What I was wondering is do I need any of the modchips (I think they are called QSB's?) from the NAND-X if I'm installing the coolrunner? Or do I just install the coolrunner?

So basically when I'm doing the install do I just need to follow the pictures for the QSB's relating to the Coolrunner or do I need to find pictures for the NAND-X QSB's also? If so can someone provide me with them?

you don't need qsb, you can solder the wires directely on the board

one word search

would of found this link http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=175

read the stickys.:rolleyes2:
ya, that gives me a huge list of posts. All I'm asking is one simple question.

If I use the coolrunner, do I need to use any of the other chips that come with the NAND-X? that's all I wanna know.

Also to whoever said "don't use QSB just use wires" - I chose to use the QSB, thanks. All I'm asking is if I need the extra QSB's or whatever that are included with the NAND-X or do I simply use the coolrunner and leave out the extra chips from the NAND-X?

Great, for some reason I can't edit posts.

To be clear : I already have all the equipment. But what I'm not certain on is whether or not I need the additional QSB's (or whatever they are called) that is included in the NAND-X kit.

See my post above, you will need to purchase the QSB kit for your console (phat or slim).
Please read my posts. I already have everything! What I'm trying to figure out is if I actually need the additional chips that come with the NAND-X if I'm using the QSB method for the coolrunner.

You know with the NAND-X it comes with the actual NAND-X programmer and then 4 chips as well.

Now the QSB for the coolrunner has "NAND-X" adapter on it already. So do I even need the additional chips that come with the NAND-X?
