Hi,

Here is the problem, I was doing RGH on Phat Jasper
Solder is ok (using QSB), plug in power is connect of course, console off.
Either using JTAG Tool V4.25 or NandPro v3.0a I get
"Looking for usb interface device
Can not continue"

Well I search and search on the forum and most people say it is bad soldering, ok so I've made the final test,
I have old JTAG Xenon working I did 1year ago and I tried to dump nand, and then got the same error "Can not continue".

So It is not solder or connections issues. It is Nand-X issue.

I've update to code v3 by CK3i with cable. All went ok I thing.
Any help? Reflashing Nand-X did not solve.
I saw lot of people saying code v3 has bugs or the interface programs do not work well.

Note: I can flash coolrunner with success but not dump any Nand.

You assumed the update went well but did you test with either nandpro 2.0e or 2.0d?

I assume you have all of the drivers in the right place and installed for the Nand-X?
Yes because I've done JTAG on Xenon with the same Nand-X and PC. Nand-X shows in windows and also CK3i

I get "Incompatible ARM hardware for this version of NandPro Can not continue"

sounds to me like you haven`t updated the nand-x to version 3 properly and you are using nandpro 3 .

go back to nand-x version 2 and see if you can get your nand

I follow this http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74259
and it was exactly as it says.

I see a lot of people having the same issue in here:https://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75099

Uber keeps saying it is bad solder. In my case if it is bad solder why I get the same error in a working Xenon JTAG? This is odd

I flashed Nand-X back to v2 and tested either nandpro 2.0e or 2.0d on my old working JTAG and this RGH jasper and got "could not detect a flash controller"
Now even on v2 it does not dump any nand.

Again I flashed to v3, same issue "Looking for usb interface device Can not continue"

Nand-x got faulty after the first upgrade over Ck3i?? Just because it is old(yellow light) ?

I do not think that is the problem because to make sure I tested in a working Xenon JTAG I've done a couple of months ago and got the same error.

That doesn't mean the soldering is good, I had an old Falcon I jtagged with the SMC hack and went back a few days ago to update it to 13604 and simply couldn't write my new nand to it, mind you this jtag console has been running fine for the last year and a half.

I kept searching for solutions to this "flash not found" problem and finally gave up, took my soldering iron and re did all the QSB connections and BAM it wrote the new nand on the first try and everything works perfectly.

I guess the Falcon has been running hot enough to warp the board and coupled with the fact that was my first Xbox soldering job it broke the soldering connections, moral is go back and check your soldering because 99% its that and not the Nand-x.

Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. But my old Jtag was only turn on for 3 hours in 1 year lol. I will check when my new Nand-X arrives and then I will have 100% sure where is the problem

Just got a new Nand-X with V3, still get the same error on both consoles. (has yellow light the one they send so I suppose it is the old model)

1 the lights on the old and new nandx are the same.

2 no device found is bad soldering
If it is bad soldering why it does not work also on a Jtag Xenon with QSB I have here and dumped the nand with sucess a couple of months ago? And the QSB could not be off over time because the console was only turned on a couple of hours.

I've checked each point with a multimeter and all seem fine. I do not understant if this is my windows 7 64x issue or bad luck for 2 faulty nand-x's

A few hours with a xenon is enough to warp the board. Just redo it or dump the QSB's and soldier the wires directly to the board for testing purposes.

i'll tell you why. because sh*t joint go cold or break, yes even sitting doing nothing. so just because it dumped a few months ago doesn't rule out bad joints. either that or you are ruining new nandx's somehow. its highly unlikely to get 2 defective. i've seen joints that were reading one minute stop the next, and guess the cause. sh*t soldering in my early days. i'm not saying i'm 100% right here just 99% likely to be that is your issue over 2 faulty nandx's

How you making out with your problem page360? I've got a similar situation. I even sent mine out to a pro and he is sending it back saying even he cannot dump the nand

The first Nand-X was faulty, second one works well.
To get to this conclusion I had to do another RGH phat console.
